We are moving to Charleston in the next two months and have been unable to find a big enough yet affordable place to live downtown. We know downtown Charleston (south of Crosstown) pretty well by now and canvassed it thoroughly looking for furnished and unfurnished rentals. We need/want 2-3BR, 2BA+ and at least one off street parking spot. Our work is downtown so ideally we wanted to live downtown and walk/bike to work. We want a place that has some walkability to at least a few restaurants and/or bars (not chains/strip malls preferably) but we do not want to be near a lot of College kids and/or surrounded by tons of families but at this point we are pretty open.....as time is drawing near
We've seen some great houses to rent in North Charleston - what is the area near Park Circle like...?
It was recommended to us by some people we know who live on East Bay St that if we lived off 17 South or off 61W, we should stay inside the Mark Clark and if downtown, it was best to stay below Cross town - are there any recommendations/rules like this as far as North Charleston, Charlestown Landing/W.Ashley, or James Island? we don't want to be too remote.....
