Hi, I am looking for a place to live in the area. I've been doing research and Stratford Apartments in South Charleston seem reasonably priced. Does anyone have any opinions on them? How is that neighborhood? I'm a female who will be living alone.

My job will be in Hurricane. If anyone has any suggestions about other housing in the area I would love to hear them. I don't mind a short commute, I just want something safe, nice, and not too expensive. I'm hoping not to spend more than $600-$700 on rent. $800 at the most.

Thanks to anyone with any info!

I had a friend living there ~20 years ago and visited once. It's in a nice area. I think most people would consider all of Rock Lake Village a safe community. It's an easy drive across the river to Dunbar to the closest I-64 interchange to get you to Hurricane.
