OMG this is terrible. They were so unique for a town like this. I really hate this place sometimes and I'm doing it more often these days.

That is sad. I liked it as well. They do have more competition now with Mea Cuppa and Void opening in Elk City and the continued growth of Starbucks in our area. They were always busy I thought. When I lived in Quarrier, I was over there all the time and they always had people there.

For all of their success, they were just in a really bad location. It is surprising they lasted as long as they did. They had to be near walkers, not drivers with their set up and the small but seemingly loyal patronage was not enough to keep it open.

Had they been across from General or further down Quarrier, near to Capitol it would have worked. They might have done well down near Tricky Fish and that area.

Starbucks is killing it. I like to see new businesses open but man I really don't care for their drinks. Espresso is typically burnt tasting and covered up with tons of sugar. Coffee is ok though. Moxxee in a way never really belonged here. It's been a real treat. Something that was different especially for Charleston. One of those rare things that shouldn't exist here but did. My God am I going to have to drive to Huntington for everything!!!

Moxxee is a breed unto their own. (I believe thatís how that expression goes lol)

I thought their Chai was the best in the area by far. They are truly coffee experts though with their practices. I agree with Caden that they should have been right across from General or further in the East End, but they werenít in too bad of a spot. They had hardly any parking which might have turned people away.

Hopefully a fan of the concept with but the business or open up something similar. Moxxee May join the Blossom Deli as one of those iconic Charleston businesses that struggled.
