I've been reading the boards for awhile now and really haven't seen much conversation about Villas in Charlotte. I'm thinking that a villa 3/2/2 would be a good match for myself and better half, considering that the outside maintence would be taken care of (I think)........anyone have any luck looking at villas (attached or not)? Possible prices. I'm thinking in either Huntersville or Concord areas. Thanks

There are two story townhomes in Concord. Have you searched online?

The only villas I know of are in Italy.

Is villa a new catchphrase to describe a townhome?

In Florida, a villa is a "twin" or I've even heard them called "duplex".

There are a lot of townhomes in Huntersville. I'm not so certain about all of them having garages. I know ours in Rosedale do not but a friend of mine that lives behind Rosedale Commons, I don't know the name of the t/h there, they have garages but they are 3 stories.

I'm sure if you do your research, you will find what you're looking for.

Oakhurst, Tanners Creek, Rosedale Commons and Vermillion all have townhomes with garages, if that helps. :-)

Default Villas

Villas here in Fl. are one story 2 or 3 bedroom homes with or without garages
some are attached/some not.........maintence is usually done by the HOA

I'm not looking for a townhouse, I need something on one level, and would love to avoid yardwork, just close the door and leave and not have to worry about watering, weeds, cutting. Yep, I'm lazy and would love for someone else to do all the work.

There are a lot of duplexes in my area in Fort Mill. I think builders like building them because then they onle have to pay one new building fee. I just bought one and it's pretty nice. No HOA, but very small front and backyard. It's one floor since "the other" had a car accident a while back and her knees are bad. There are also some ranch style condos in Fort Mill, Matthews and a few other places. Some are only for 55 and up; the ones in Ft Mill are not and start just under 200k with garages.
