They are expensive(compared to North). I've tried 4 and haven't found my one...try Alan Daniels with Jessica. I've heard she's good and Salon Cielo in So. Park Mall. Pick up a Charlotte Woman mag and you'll find tons of ads for salons.

I just paid well over $200 at one of the Aveda salons for highlights and a cut - not including tip. I'd love to try to keep it under $200, under $175 would be better.

Ok, try Mantra. It is the Modern Salon property on East Blvd but it caters to a crowd who also don't want to pay $200. Always get a price quote FIRST anywhere in Charlotte. Also, the Aveda Institute on South Blvd is the Aveda school where all the stylists that go to work in the expensive salons are trained. It is very hard to get in but call and try.

Planet 21 at the Arboretum and at The Fountains.
I got one of the best haircuts I've ever had at the salon in The Fountains.
Take this for what it's worth: I've had my haircut in NYC several times, as a treat to myself. The stylist I use at Planet 21 has a level of talent that rivals the stylists working in the chi-chi NYC salons. JMO
Hope this helps.

Her mane is Jana. She's only at The Fountains on certain days. Otherwise you can find her at the Arboretum. Let me know what you think.

Near me too! Thanks St Maarten! I have been on the hunt for a sylist since our move from CA. I'm hoping Jana will put the end to my search! :-)
