Union County/Indian Trail water restrictions (Charlotte, Monroe: house, neighborhood, live in)

Hi all, we move next week to Indian Trail, and I was told which days I can water my grass, if needed (odd number house), and that I can't wash the cars. I looked on the web but cannot find other restrictions, if any. Is there a link or can someone let me in on anything else I need to know? We will be getting a hot tub delivered in July, will I be allowed to fill it?

Not sure if they have anthing online, but the news said they have issued over 300 tickets for $3400 total, so it's an average of $100 per offence. The drought is bad this year and farmers need water. I would rather eat than sit in a hottuub. And it's so dang hot here right now you won't wanna be in the hottub anyway.

Not in Charlotte yet so take what I say with a grain of salt. I was talking to my buddy the other day and he told me that there has been a good amount of rain the last couple weeks. Your thread led to check Monroes website because they had a notice about a voluntary water restriction last week which is no longer on the website. Wondering if the water restrictions had been reduced due to the rain.

Yes, my husband and I will certainly enjoy a hottub on cooler evenings (or not turn on the heat when it's hotter) but we probably wouldn't have actually bought a hottub if it were not for my severely multiply handicapped daughter and the benefits to her body, muscles and the therapy it provides her.

You will be able to fill a hot tub. watering days are determined by your house number like you said - lawn watering must be done between midnight and 5 am; make sure your system is done BY 5am or you could get a fine. Cant wash cars, but also cant wash sidewalks or driveways or pressure wash your house for instance. You may water plants/bushes with the hose, you just cant leave it unattended. Technically if you feel like standing there all day with the hose in your hand while watering your yard plants, that is ok. Expect this to continue in the summer time; there was news in the Charlotte Observer this week from union cty public works that this will continue and will most likely become normal summertime activity for future years as well. I live in Brandon Oaks and there are more fines in this neighborhood than any other in union Cty (embarrassing); I see the PW truck drive through nearly every morning. Hope this helps....good luck.

Yes, they did say on the news cast the other day that the restrictions would last through the summer for Union County and they are already planning to do it again next summer as well.
