Morrow Mountain State Park - Heartland
Mountains up to 936 feet, peaceful lake.
More than 100 tent, trailer and recreational vehicle campsites;

rare and endangered species include red-cockaded woodpecker, Sandhills lily, bog spicebush.
More than five miles of hiking trails, including 3.5 miles of bridle trails.
Picnicking, visitor's center, exhibit hall, interpretive programs.
William B. Umstead State Park - Heartland
Hardwood forest oasis in urban Triangle region, creeks, lakes, extensive trail network with scenic overlooks.
Nearly 30 tent and trailer campsites; showers; two group tent campsites; two group campsites with cabins and kitchen.
Nearly 20 miles of hiking trails, including nearly 13 miles of bridle and bicycle trails. Lake fishing, rowboat and canoe rentals.

Sunny, this is not a state park, but it will eventually link to Crowders Mountain in NC & Kings Mountain State Park & Kings Mountain Battlefield in SC. This trail does allow biking, & some people ask about that. Kings Mountain Gateway Trails > Home
Its a little cooler in the mountains. Great Kayaking and swimming weather from mountains to coast
Where Sun Screen pack a handheld cooler, water, snacks, first aid kit, newspaper (to read or
use to start a fire in a fire pit.
To make a fire pit use rocks laying in the area. clear any unwanted debri save all twings or sticks
you see already down hopefully its dry.
Dont use live trees.
Gather with gloves as a poisonous plant, bug, or critters may lurk.
To make a good fire start off ball each layer of paper loosely. then form a triangle as you layer
twigs.
As fire gets warm smoke is a great bug deterrent and can be used if you are stranded.
One at time throw firewood you purchase or brought from a nearby store (store maybe 30
minutes away. If you build fire slowly the longer it will last.
Choose locations listed above near waterfalls or Sliding Rock or Creek swimming
If you tail gate camp then you will have portable battery operated fans

Overall cost is cheap. Im thrilled you guys think it hot.
I guess it matters to each other Stamina but that means less people
