Spoiler
My musical heroes are way flawed but mostly in what they've done to themselves.

Jerry Garcia (my biggest)...heart attack while in rehab for a coke/heroin addiction.

John Bonham...drank himself to death.

Elvis...love of peanut butter and banana sandwiches with prescription medication.

Paul McCartney....Wings...

Bruce Springsteen....liberal...

Even Lennon had a reputation of being cruelest of the cruel in the early Beatles days (just ask Stu Sutcliffe, oh wait...).

Huh? I'm sorry but you are way off base here. MJ had a talent but to paint him as "the most talented musician of all time" is a bit of a stretch and shows a slanted opinion that explains why you dislike anyone disparaging him.

I will not disparage him because the facts are not wholly known but to ignore those accusations and blindly praise him is a bit disingenuous.

I was in Kentucky for a family reunion. We were never in our rooms but my brother-in-law heard a blurb on tv when he was making lunch. We all thought it was bogus until the next day.

Let's not forget:

Keith Moon -- Alcohol
John Entwistle -- Cocaine
Brian Jones -- SUI (swimming while intoxicated)
Rory Gallagher (aka - best guitarist EVER; Clapton wishes he had Rory's chops) -- Alcohol
Freddie Mercury (now THERE was an entertainer) -- AIDS

From the looks of it...it's because most of us posting in this thread have been around here much longer than you.
