Default Is Charlotte picking up?

I'm finally starting to get calls back on the resumes I've been submitting.
One company wants me to set up a phone interview next week and another left a message for me last night.

And I'm not local, so this surprises me.

Fingers crossed!

Congrats - hope it works out. My husband has also received a lot more attention for his resume in the last 30 days.

Lowe's has quite a lot of tech jobs posted on their site.
I never realized their headquarters was there.

I want to move sooooo bad.

I'm so bored I'm going nuts. I keep myself busy by looking for jobs and studying for IT certifications, but I still wish I had someplace to go and be productive all day.

My wife also lost her job. Married people are NOT meant to be cooped up together day in and day out.

hahaha - well, SOME of us haven't minded it

We've looked at that as the silver lining in our cloudy weathered lives the two years!

Yes it is. Also, a spendthrifty bastard is about to come into the area and improve the city's economy

Joke aside, about 2 years back, a former colleague was handing out resumes outside. He was saying the biggest bank out there was going to tank and they are going to move everything up to NYC.

Even its shares were down to 4 or 5 bucks. I predicted good times and gave him an estimate of the mid teens for '10. And that's exactly where it is right now. The only idiot in this whole thing was "I". I refused to buy its stock and kept all my money in big oil. Thank God, it wasn't BP.

But some of the major companies swallowed truly toxic assets, or they were made to. It will take another 2 years for Charlotte to go into full swing. As long as another dysfunctional company like Wachovia comes back home to upset the apple cart.

By the way, if you can find a good samaritan, use his/her address. Some employers tend to get emotional over local addresses.
