I saw the clouds roll in. The sound of thunder made me smile but it was all for naught. Once again, the rain has missed us completely....we are dry as an old bone over here in Weddington. The last few storms missed us as well. I can still hear the thunder but the sun is out and shining on my yard. We must be in some sort of weather donut hole because it seems the rain misses us more often than not.
I always feel the same here in Steele Creek! It's always raining in Uptown or Ballantyne, and never here. We just had a shower about 30 minutes ago, and there's more stuff all over, so hopefully we'll get some more and you will be hit as well!

It rained here in Kings Mountain. Although the sun is back out now, I can hear thunder in Gaston County. It sounds like it's headed for Lincoln County.

Of course it did, lol. You posted about the rain last Friday in Kings Mountain. We were up at Lake Lure and they got a downpour...we stayed just ahead of that storm all the way home but when we got here we got no rain at all. That's just not right...lol.

We haven't had much, but I'd be willing to share, Yank.
Y'all shouldn't feel bad. Even though Gaston County seems to always get hit by these storms, for some reason, the storms break up about the time they hit my neighborhood and then they'll reform just to our east, south, north, etc. We got hit by today's storm, but this is the first time we've gotten a good soaking in a while--unless I wasn't home when a more recent one hit!

Well, we just had a prolonged sprinkle. I was out back in the garden & told it that when it finished here to go to Weddington. We'll see if it does. It's not much, but better than nothing.
I heard thunder rumbling in the distance, too, and the wind started up a bit . . . but then - NADA! We were very disappointed! Could sure use a nice shower this evening.
