I think that it will be great for businesses. Not sure what the city itself would have to lay out compared to what they will make.

That has been my only concern. To me, there is no downside - unless it would be getting stuck w/ a big bill, when we are already operating in a deficit situation.

My hopes are - great things ahead b/c of this convention coming to Charlotte!

You also have the press. Some of them will be staying near the convention in Charlotte, but some will probably be in motels in Concord & Gastonia.

They were talking about a 100 mile radius of businesses benefiting from this as well.
