What neighborhood(s) in Charlotte would have the highest concentration of gay men? Also does anyone know of any apartment complexes that seem to attract more gays and lesbians? Thanks.

I remember reading a couple years ago that Charlotte was on top of the list nationally for same sex occupancies.

4th Ward, specially condos at the corner of Poplar and W. 10th. Can't remember the name of the building off the top of my head.

Brittany Woods Apartments on Chippendale Rd (yes, that is the name of the street) off Monroe Rd. used to have a large concentration of gays. Don't know if it is still true or not.

About a year ago, the Marquis at Carmel Valley (off 51) seemed to be a gathering spot for LGBT's but now not as sure...apartment complexes are funny...things change so quickly!
The area around the Park Road Shopping Center seems also to attract fellow "friends of Dorothy."

Believe it or not I seem to find a lot of gay couples living outside the city limits. Usually gays live more in the city but there are a lot of gay couples, now days, looking for more family living than before. Or maybe they have always been there they are just able to say it now more so than before.

I'm looking forward to a day when all neighborhoods are gay-friendly and glbt individuals feel safe and accepted wherever they are.
