No problem! Just to give you another idea of how close Charlotte is to SC, think about Carowinds. Half the park is actually in NC and half the park is actually in SC, so you can literally be in two states if half your body is on one half the line and your other side is on the other half

Not saying that anyone would do this, but... One thing to think about.

When I was in Cleveland, the immediate counties near Cleveland/Cuyahoga County required regular car emissions testing. The rest of Ohio does not. Many Cleveland residing folks would register their vehicles and permanent address to a relative's house outside of the emissions testing region to avoid the hassle with the emissions.

If someone has family members in SC they can claim as their permanent residence, they can have the benefits of SC despite not actually physically staying there.

We have pictures of us straddling this line right when we first visited last year. Kids got a kick out of it
