African American Hair Salons (Charlotte, Concord: hair salon, shopping center, suite)

Hi,
Just wondering if there are any good PROFESSIONAL hair salons for African Americans in the Charlotte area ? Also looking for a good stylist for children and natural hair. Thanks !!

Imaj Salon and Spa across from Concord Mills. This place is upscale and expensive but they do a great job to maintain and style your hair. This has been the best so far.

There are two major places that has multiple stylist in the location. I believe it's called Salon Central. I would estimate 20-30 stylist. One off of Freedom drive (Bojangles shopping center) that has many stylist. Braiding, weaves, perms, etc. My daugther has her braids done there but I only go during the day hours. At night there are shady characters in the area not necessarily the salon.

I believe the other location is off of Independence.

I have gone to the Hair Cuttery in Northlake Mall but tottally unprofessional but cheap. If it's an emergency, I can always go there.

I have been to other places but they are unprofessional beyond description. Cheap products, late, no show, etc.

I take my daughter to Because of You Hair Salon on Monroe, previously she was located in Salon Central on Independence. Pam is known for keeping hair healthy, she does not use curling irons. Pam could be reached at 704-569-0830.
