My roommate told me that Charlotte has some restrictions against builders and homeowners about pouring concrete for sidewalks, pools, etc. as well as placing stones down to make patios, walkways, etc. Apparently, it has something to do with water run-off into the lakes and it not being good for the environment. I find this really odd and annoying since I would really like to make myself a nice back patio once my house is built. Does anyone know anything about these restrictions?
