Sorry, but this information is false. (Yes, black snakes are good snakes. So are copperheads so long as you don't get bitten by them. Both reduce the rodent populations) I've had black racers and assorted rat snakes and copperhead all in the same pen with no aggression by any towards the others. It's the King Snake that will kill other snakes! KING SNAKE. There are several species. The most common species that we have here, the Eastern King Snake, is black with a yellow or white pattern on it's back.
