Anyone know of where I can find Farmer Cheese (most common brand is Friendship brand) in/around Charlotte?

Yes! It took a lot of phone calls for me to figure this out about 2 years ago. Here are the 3 places: Fresh Market has Friendship for about $6 lb; Earthfare has Friendship for about $10 lb (they also have the firm kind but you don't want that); in Matthews the Russian store has 4 different kinds (I don't remember all the brands)-when I told the lady what I was making which was kugel she recommended the one with the blue label which was by Lifeway (which is probably the same for blintzes tho ask her as she may recommend a sweeter version). That store is in Matthews on Independence - just google A&A International. Lastly, I've heard that the kosher deli near the Arboretum will sell it to you.

I've bought farmer's cheese at Ingles supermarkets (Kings Mountain, Shelby, etc.), but that's been a few years ago.

I noticed it at the Kings Mountain Ingles a while back. Thank you for mentioning Ingles before me.

Lo and behold - just found it at Bi-Lo (so far, the one in Fort Mill on 160 and the one on S. Tryon near the Walmart both have it). A 7.5 oz package is going for $2.55!
