Hi fellow City-Data's
I've been receiving phone calls from Ryan Homes, and Oakmont builders wanting my business. I'll be working in the Steele Creek area I wouldn't mind a 30 minute commute. I'd like the skinny of which builder has a better reputation? I saw the Kingstree subdivision and it caught my eye. Then Oaknont called me regarding their subdivision in the Mallard Creek area. (sighs) Decisions, Decisions....
Any input is always appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Ive just taken a look at the Oakmont Builders website. I think I've answered my own question. Kingstree subdivision (Ryan) houses has a better look than the Mallard Lake houses.

In my opinion I would stick with Ryan. They have been around a good while now. I actually own a Ryan home myself and have experienced nothing bad up to this point. The house is about 10 years old now. So far so good.

From a professional side of things and being in the industry I've had several clients that purchased their homes as well and all have been happy to date that I'm aware of.

Yeah I built a home through Ryan and we have had no problems with it. They have a good process in place and try and keep you happy plus they have probably about 30-35 neighbors in the charlotte area.
