They told me it happens, and yesterday it did.
A huge truck from Central Carolina Connection showed up yesterday, and we ended up buying a Lane sofa and loveseat on the spot. I don't know anything about furniture but my wife assured me that Lane is good stuff.
I was a little concerned, but everything was in its original packaging and the price was sweet.
They had some Howard Miller grandfather clocks for $1,000 that I loved, but that's more of a "someday" item.
Well, all I have to compare to is a fold-up camping chair. LOL!
Sounds like us when we moved here, lol! We had 3 of those fold-up camping chairs (with cup holders I might add), a cheap rug & a tv for about 6 mths until we got a couch.
I saw the truck right after we moved here, haven't seen it since. I'm told they usually show up in Jan. after market when the furniture companies are making room for the new stuff. Back in NY, we'd always see trucks with NC plates parked along the sides of the roads with furniture for sale. This was the 1st time the truck came to us. Pretty cool.
We really only wanted the sofa but they wouldn't split them up.
We already ordered a loveseat from Brawley's. If we can't cancel it then I'll have to put it on Craig's List.
The first time one of those trucks came to my house I was totally paranoid. I remember calling my Dh and saying that I thought somebody stole a truck full of furniture and was going door to door trying to sell it off. Lol!
No worries! We did that too with a leather sofa and love seat (from Thomasville). We still have them (9 years later) and just now the sofa is starting to show its age a bit on one small side .
I'm confused. What truck are we talking about? Does it just drive through a parking lot or what?
