After watching yesterday's game vs. the G-men, I am convinced that Jimmy Clausen will end up being the starting QB for the Panthers by the end of September, no later than early October! I know that next week's matchup should still be winnable against TB, and it's our home opener, but we got to play better than we did in the 2nd half, and not turn the over so much like we did yesterday either! After TB, all the other games are a tossup, including Da Bears with the returning Julius Peppers, although that might be a winnable one as well, they should've lost that game yesterday to the Lions, that was a bad call! The Bears matchup will be our last game before the bye week and I think Clausen will be the starter before then! What do y'all think?

I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Moore just yet... He had a bad game, it happens. He needs to make much better decisions when in the red zone. You take away a few of those INTs and make them TDs, it's a totally different ball game. However, I would imagine if he continue to struggle don't be surprised to see Clausen come out as the starter after the bye week.

I still think Moore should be the guy for now. As long as we can run the ball Moore doesn't need to be Manning. Clausen will probably be in late in the season.

Carolina should be more worried about that secondary. The jury was out on the D-Line and LBs but I figured for the secondary to be solid.

That's true, but they better play a much better game against a Bucs team that should be a winnable game for us this coming Sunday, b/c you know how the fanbase is around here!

Chris Gamble is one of the better corners in the league, granted, he's no shutdown corner like Darrelle Revis, but he's good, but outside of Gamble, who's the other starting corner for the Panthers? Also, how good are the safeties?

Clausen is not ready. Put him out there too early and you have Brady Quinn 2.0 and he will never recover. He needs a year to get his feet wet.

If you want Clausen be prepared for a ton of passes out of bounds. Clausen has no problem throwing away the football. Be it 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th down. Perfect form too... into the stands.

I agree w/this 100%. Let Moore complete the season, take them to a 6-10/7-9 record. Fox along w/Moore will be let go and a new regime will be brought in.....

The only downside for Claussen is a new HC next year....

Richard Marshall is the second cornerback who I think is a so-so starter but better suited as a 3rd CB. The safties are pretty young and converted CBs. Charles Godfrey is average and Sherrod Martin is still learning.
