Looking for New Lady Golfers (Charlotte: how much, live in, golf course)

I have recently started learning to play (have had some lessons) but need to practice on driving ranges/par 3 courses. My husband would like me to get better before doing a full blown course.....I would like some other women to practice with and learn together. I live in South Charlotte so does anyone know of any groups especially for beginners?

I'm just learning, too! We were stationed in Hawaii at our last assignment, and I finally figured that I could either resent how much time DH was spending on the golf course or I could try to learn a little about it. I'm very, very new at it but want to take lessons myself someday (when I don't have a baby holding onto my leg).

As an FYI, I went along with DH on one or two fundraising tournaments that the base held. It was a scramble, so it didn't matter that I wasn't a good golfer; we all simply had a great time together. DH also took me around on a few 9-hole rounds just for fun and experience, which was a lot of fun.

I'll keep an eye out for any groups, and I'll definitely be interested in what you find once I have a little more freedom!

Thanks for the contact its just hard to find someone to play with that doesn't make me feel self conscious..I have been in your position (baby and leg) but now have more time as children are all grown up.
