Marcus Jinwright. 2010. I'm quite sure. You had to be living under a rock not to hear that on the news in Charlotte. Pastors of these megachurches are rife for corruption because they have 0 oversight and uneducated congregations that are easy to manipulate.

Sentences Handed Down For Jinwrights After Lengthy Hearing | www.wsoctv.com

Jinwright trial set to begin today

For example: In 2007, the indictment alleges, the Jinwrights spent about $178,000 in payments on eight vehicles, including two Lexuses, a Mercedes-Benz, a BMW, a Rolls Royce and a Bentley. Other expenses that year included $4,000 for car washes, $311,000 in payments on two homes, more than $4,000 for lawn care, more than $9,000 in home repairs, nearly $3,000 for Time Warner Cable and Direct TV, $4,200 in home cleaning expenses and $20,000 in furniture

I wouldn't call these mega-church congregation uneducated...more like "easily manipulated"

The Jinwrights don't have anything to do with Daddy Grace, House of Prayer or the house on Mallard Creek/Sugar Creek. So no, they have nothing to do with the OP.

There was a scandal with the United House of Prayer, but it involved tax evasion and the construction company that built alot of their Churches. Look up United Building Contractor's.

Not directly, maybe. But in my view, they are of a similar ilk. Large, predominately poor, predominately minority congregations who give WAY too much power to charismatic ministers.

Could you be anymore offensive, judgmental and racist?

I'm not sure what you are offended by. There was no racism here. Judgment, sure. But judgment of the swindlers who head these churches. I don't think it's racist to point out the composition of the congregations getting screwed over by these scheisters. It happens in white megachurches, too, particularly the evangelical ones, but the comparison was between Sweet Daddy Grace and the Jinwrights and their lavish lifestyles on the backs of their less than affluent congregations.

Are you seriously trying to defend these charlatans?

I would guess, nothing like the one he lived at here in Charlotte!
