Excellent preschools: Weddington Christian (Weddington Christian Preschool), and Calvary. I've heard good things about Carmel Baptist and Learning Links. All four of these school will have waiting lists.

Hey- The Y @ Ballantyne Morrison is great. They run a preschool from 9- 1 and the kid has so much planned activities and a very good teacher ratio. After 4 hours of fun, the child usually sleeps even before you leave the parking lot and it gives you back 4-6 hours of your day. The timings may not work well if bolth parents are employed. Still great value for a low price and quality care.

Carmel Baptist has an excellent preschool program. I was very impressed from the beginning when the teacher and her assistant came to our house before the school year to meet me and my daughter. Not sure if they still do that, but it is a wonderful place for the little ones!

Default Chesterbrook Academy

I would look in to Chesterbrook Acedemy. They have some locations in the areas you suggested. I work at one north of the city so I cannot comment on the ones in Charlotte. However, they have a great curriculm program called Links to Learning and really focus on hiring quality teachers.
