I'll keep looking at Charlotte though. Thanks for the helps and posts, etc.

If you are gay (which I surmise you are from a prior post) then it was probably for the best. They don't call this the bible belt for nothing. Good luck in your future endeavors --- hopefully they'll lead you to a more enlightened, diverse city than Charlotte.

Thanks for the well wishes At least I know I'll be enjoying another winter in paradise
Did you reject it coz it was higher than your position???

No, I was in a "pool" of candidates. They went with someone else. Still, good to know I must be doing a good job to get in the running in the first place

Thanks, PlainWhite. Charlotte looks pretty and I can be happy just about anywhere. Tampa isn't exactly a bastion of liberal acceptance itself..lol.

In truth, my heart is (and has always been) in Miami. It can be a tough city to love, but it's got that certain something that draws me.

Sounds like you have a very positive attitude! It's great that you can have that perspective - being appreciative of the opportunity and realizing that just because you didn't get it doesn't mean something bad. I've been here for 6 months and Charlotte has been awesome for us! Hope you enjoy another winter in Paradise and that a great job in a great place for you comes your way!!
