We got a house!!
And I'm relieved. After something of a saga, we put in a backup bid on a new construction in Baxter Village, and WE GOT IT!! I'm so relieved--this is really a better location for us than Quellin at this point, and other than the master bedroom being down (I have a baby who is waking up way more often at night than I care to count), it's a fantastic house for us. Good schools, close to the Y and library... I can't wait to get going on our life down there!!!
I realize this isn't a big deal for anyone but me , but I'm so thrilled and also very grateful for the ideas, suggestions, and advice that y'all have given me over the last few months that I wanted to share the news.
(Yep, I cried when our realtor called us. After so many military moves--five in 7 years of marriage--we have a HOME of our own. )

It IS a big deal and I am doing a happy dance for you! WOO HOO!
Don't worry about that master being down - it's really a GOOD thing over time and will help you on resale one day, WAY down the line

Congrats on the house! I can relate, I do also prefer the master up (because we didn't want the young kids upstairs) but over time I prob will want something on 1 level, but its not that big of a deal...you'll get used to it for now.
This is a big deal (owning a home)..we understand, and congrats again!
