I was looking into these two towns and was wondering which one would you guys recommend me to move too? I am looking for a place with a small town feel, friendly people with family friendly neighborhoods. Low crime rate with good schools. I don't really like the new developed neighborhoods, I am looking more for a well established neighborhood. Just give me your opinion and any info on any of the two. Thank you

Davidson matches everything you mentioned...but it isn't a cheap place to live.

Thank you both for your replies, Davidson looks like a great place to live and just wanted to make sure it is.

And by what you mean it isn't a cheap place to live you mean buying a house wise?

I feel sure that's what jayhawks meant. Housing prices in Davidson tend to start in the low 300's. If that's your range you'll love the quaint little college town

Thank you guys In Davidson, how is the downtown? Is it nice? Do they have a lot of events? Like do they have festivals, parades for the holidays?

There's a Christmas parade in early December

Davidson, NC - Official Website - North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade 2010

Basically, Davidson is a nice little town centered around the college - it's a great place to live

Yes, that is what I meant. I don't know what your price range is, but there aren't any homes in what people call the 'affordable' category. I realize that is a relative term.

But there are great schools, great downtown, lots of things going on in the area by the library, as well as on the college campus. The commute to uptown stinks, but I love area. I don't live there, but my parents do.
