Default New to Lawson

Hello,

I am new to this message board, but have read many post over the past six months pertaining to the greater Charlotte area. After a lot of looking, we have decided we will be moving to the Lawson sub-division in Union County. I would appreciate any feedback current residents have on the neighborhood.

Thank You.

Hi - welcome! We live in Lawson - have been here for about a year and a half. We just love it, so happy here. PM me, I'm happy to provide more details. Neighbors have become great friends, kids have tons of buddies to play with, great schools. The only complaints from anyone I ever hear are HOA related issues, but even those are pretty much in line with any other HOA stuff everyone deals with no matter where you live.

Why did you end up choosing Lawson? What other subdivisions did you look at?

We looked in Macalluy, Birkdale Village, Gillead Ridge and Northstone in Huntersville. We looked in Lake Ridge, Lake Shore and Baxter Village in Tega Cay. In Waxhaw we looked in Cureton, Lawson, Millbridge, and Quelin. We looked at new construction in Pineville, Ballantyne and Fort Mill as well.

Nice - you ran a pretty big gambit. I don't live in Lawson, but I've been through looking many times. We even spoke to Ryland one day and they seemed very anxious to sell and finish. I think it's only Orleans building and even that looked close to done. Being essentially built out and done is a huge plus.

Of the 4, Lawson would probably get my vote... If you're 100% done deal, I will leave it at that.

Welcome to Lawson! You made a great choice, I am sure you will be very happy here. We have lived here just over two years, coming from Long Island, and we love it here. Please feel free to DM with any questions you have about the area. What block are you moving on ?

Another Lawson neighbor here! We love living in Lawson. I am in the Orleans section. All our neighbors are wonderful and we have made a lot of great friends. There are so many fun events hosted by the social committee. Please PM me if you have any questions.
