I just found out that one of my children's friends is cutting. I have no idea how to help this person except to provide them with resources for help. This individual is in their early twenties and cannot afford to pay for a therapist.

Not a student but that was a good thought. I also thought about insurance where this person works but they are only part-time...no insurance, parent's don't have insurance, and parent's don't know.

I know the focus is rape/sexual abuse, but they also help with other issues. You don't have to be recovering from rape or sexual abuse to benefit from their services.
