Having some issues with my laptop and was thinking to take it to Best Buy or the such. I figured first to post on here and see if anyone had any recommendations for any service techs in the area that may be of a better value rather than the big box regulars?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop. It's a little over two years old. The screen randomly will flicker (extremely rapidly) and sometimes turn off completely. Putting the computer into sleep mode and immediately turning it back on will turn the screen back on. Does this repeatedly although not consistently.

You may want to try Data-Syst on South Blvd (near Scaleybark).....I feel more than sure that they can help you.....ask for Bruce Chandler, he is the owner. He and his wife Jeri, have helped me with my computer several times.

Agreed. They're very good with hardware repairs. Never repaired pc's with them but I've taken alot of my customers' printers to them and they've fixed them right up. Fairly priced as well. You can walk to Zack's and grab a burger too. That's probably the best part. :-)

I'm actually a network engineer but do have to work on pc's from time to time. I can give you a few ideas of some things to check out before you spend your money on someone. PM me if you want.
