Thanks all... THe hot links I'm looking for may be more in the ballpark of what "Megax" has posted. Where did you find those?

I found Pete's Hot links, but no picture. Pete's Hot links cross references to Louisiana sausages as well, so the object of the game, is to determine which sausage. What brand did you used to buy?

I have no clue who sells Pete's I found them by using a search engine & typing in Southern California Hot Links.

They cross referenced to several Louisiana sausages. You do understand that hot dogs are a type of sausage, don't you?

Here's a picture & article about Silva. . .that's Silva Sausage Company. Silva Sausage Company | News/May 2009 Silva Sausage Company Photos | Gilroy Dispatch (http://gallery.pictopia.com/gilroydispatch/photo/8099642/ - broken link)

I know they are sometimes referred to as the same, but they are not... the sausage is more of a Jimmy Dean/hillshire farm type sausage.. but the link is more of a HOT "hot dog" type sausage... I'll suffer with Johnsonville links til I stumble on something and have my folks overnight them when it's summer again...

You might want to look for Louisiana types of link sausages. You might find something that's close enough.
