Default Home Rental in Myers Park, Dilworth, Elizabeth, Cotswold

Hello,

In light of the information I gathered from folks on the list serve yesterday we are thinking about renting for a year considering we could save a lot more for a down payment in one year and our incomes are going up not down from leaving the DC area. We are currently paying $3k for a house rental in a great school district in DC what can we expect to pay in Myers Park, Dilworth, Elizabeth and Cotswold areas? What is the best way to look for house rentals online in these areas? Should we work with a realtor for a rental?
Thanks folks,
Jasykaur

Another possibility is to find a home that has an Option to Purchase. This may broaden your search and the home may be in better condition as it is likely cared for more.

A Realtor can certainly help you with a Lease Purchase!!

Yes realtors will be able to assist you with rentals -- they can send you listings of homes listed for rent on the MLS.

How far is Dilworth from Charlotte? Is this a nice safe area for a family?

Dilworth is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Charlotte. It is about 5 minutes from uptown. Small homes around 800 square feet currently cost about $475,000. Most family sized homes are $700,000 and up well over 1 million.

I know of a great home a friend of mine is trying to rent right now. If you are concerned with neighborhood and school districts, it is hard to find a rental. This house is in Barclay Downs, an enclave of homes between Myers Park and South Park.
4bedroom, 2 Bathroom 2100/mo
~2000 sqft
Granite counters
Hardwoods
Fireplace

School District is arguably the best in Charlotte:
Selwyn Elem, A G middle and Myers Park High

Private Message me and I would be happy to give you his contact info... just be sure to tell him I refered you!
