Crime in Charlotte, NC

Take note of locations (South Charlotte, Steele Creek area make up the bulk). I am glad I do not live around there anymore.

Interesting, but I would say that West Charlotte and SW Charlotte make up the bulk following closely by East Charlotte.

And what have we said about these areas??? Stay out of East and West Charlotte; the map proves it!

Steele Creek is definitely part of SW Charlotte, the main part actually.

Oh yes, of course, most of Pineville too. I just consider South Charlotte between Ballentyne and Matthews.

Default Little confused with this one.

I have atatched the image showing the robberies.

To me it looks like only 2 where in the Steele creek area, am I reading this wrong?

Though I also notice Steele Creek seems to cover a very large area.

Actually, you are reading it wrong - according to this map only ONE of these crimes was in Steele Creek - the other was in west Charlotte - big difference

Pineville is not part of Steele Creek or southwest Charlotte. Southwest Charlotte begins west of Pineville on the other side of interstate 77. Pineville is it's own town - it is not Charlotte at all. They have their own police department and politicians.

Technically, yes, but as a native Charlottean and demographically speaking, I have always considered Pineville SSW Charlotte, just like Matthews is SE and Mint Hill is SSE. Charlotte practically makes up the whole State of Mecklenburg.
