I left CLT to drive to OH and I can confirm that many Carolinians are leaving dodge and that I saw hundreds of NC plates heading north, you can expect the unemployment rate to take a major dip.
Although it has obviously slowed down, this are is still one of the top destinations. During the past year, over 40 thousand people moved into the area. That is pretty significant even though lower than in the past several years. On my business trips to the northeast, seems everyone there still wants to move down. Lots more people coming than leaving.
