I was wondering if anyone could recommend a soup kitchen around Charlotte or Indian Trail for my husband and I to volunteer at. We'd prefer a non denominational soup kitchen, but any suggestions are welcomed.

Thank you!!

Somebody posted this on another thread: Hands On Charlotte

Urban Ministry Center, Charlotte NC would be my first choice but it looks like they might have everything covered with group volunteers. Won't hurt to ask or at least see if they know who might need help.

This time of the year many organizations are helping out and if you're not part of a group it might be harder to find a spot. Kind of like everyone joining the gym after Jan 1.

I've helped out at the emergency men's shelter but again that was through another group sponsoring the night. Won't hurt to ask them: Men's Shelter - Home
