Hello, our in-laws are coming to visit for Christmas and would like a hotel recommendation that's VERY nice. Their first instinct was to stay at the Ritz uptown, but it's about 15 minutes from us and they'd prefer to be a bit closer.

We're in Cotswold, so I think the closest nice hotels would be in South Park. Any recommendations? I've stayed at the Marriott (formerly The Park Hotel, I think) and it might work. But is there a really nice hotel in South Park that anyone would recommend?

The Hampton Inn at Phillips Place is surprisingly really nice! Not sure I'd call it fancy but Phillips Place is fancy enough. That's a no brainer! They'll love it. Happy holidays!

Doubletree and Renaissance are your best bets.

I second the Hampton Inn in Phillips Place. I was in there a couple of weeks ago for an interview and was shocked. Not like any other Hampton Inn I had ever been in. I don't know the price, but would imagine it is much more reasonable than the Ritz or even Ballantyne Resort.

I would suggest Uptown over SouthPark. I live in Cotswold as well, and something like the Ritz or the Dunhill would be just as close as the Doubletree or Renaissance.

Personally I'd stay at the Ritz. Besides it gives them a chance to see a nice part of the city on their drives back & forth.

Thanks so much for the replies, everyone! The Ritz would be about 15 minutes away; Phillips Place would be about 10. Ballantyne is WAAAAAAAAY out of the question!! I'll present both options and leave it up to them -- thanks!
