New to the Charlotte Area...was wondering if there was any where close, and by close I mean 45 min. to a 1 hr drive from Charlotte area where one could go snow sledding.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Snowpark at South Park Mall open this year? Might want to look into that, that would be an option.

Best option is heading the roughly two hours toward Boone/Blowing Rock area.

Agree! When we went it was maybe 1.5 hours, not too bad for a drive.

I thought that had closed down early due to issues? Maybe they are trying again this year.

Not sure if this would work for you, but we use the golf course where we live. There are more than enough slopes to keep my 10 yr old happy all day...just a thought!

I don't think the Snowpark will be back. It had a horrible reception last year and as chicagomichauds said, closed after only a few weeks.
