I will be more than happy to offer up my home in NoDa as a straight trade for yours in Stonegate. There is far less shooting in this neighborhood. The one downsoide here is that when there is shooting, you have no idea where the bullet will end up.
Yours truly,
Spanky
Seriously, get over it. You have the comfort of knowing where the rounds will end up. You should have been informed about the range before you purchased, but that is not Dr. Land's fault. Blame your real estate agent, assuming he or she is still even in business. Dr. Land had the decency to adjust the direction of his range and build a safer backstop an all he gets in return is a bunch of flak. I'm sure alot of it is sensationalized, but some people make it out like he is out there all day every day. Of course, if people screwed with me like they did him, I would be out there all day every day just to be a jerk about it.
Lay off Dr. Land and find something else to get upset about. And my offer is for real. I'd like to go shooting with the good Dr. Plus, NoDa is really close to downtown, so your commute will be nice and short.
OMG... They're at it again! Why can't we have a "loser pays" court system to help stop this nonsense???

Maybe he shouldn't have the machine gun. But he was there first, has gone to great lengths to make his range safe, and is apparently in compliance with all local ordinances. So what actual issues are the plaintiffs basing their case on? They can't have bible study? Ha! They need to get over themselves.
This:
A National Rifle Association official hired by Land concluded, after examining the safety berm, that the range is "no threat to the neighborhood." Another firearms expert hired by neighbors, however, found that the danger of stray bullets "poses an unacceptable safety hazard" to residents.
is a joke. Of course each side has an 'expert' to support their claims. That's how it works.
Maybe 'loser pays' would put an end to so many frivolous lawsuits.
But does the anti-range expert have set criteria that are regularly reviewed in order to update such criteria to ensure the safest possible range? Well, aside from bulldoze it and build more houses.
Unfortunately, these people are going to continue to pour money into attorney's fees until Dr. Land is finally stopped. But know this, there are many people who will happily contribute to his legal fund in order to keep that range active, whether we ever get to set foot on the firing line or not.
And my above offer still stands. But I will sweeten the pot and throw in another house. 2 houses for 1!!! That's a winning proposition right there.
And I want to see these bullets people are worrying about. There has to be a house that has been hit to warrant this kind of attention, right? One bullet? Anyone? Bueller?
