I don't know where you are located, but there is a Plato's Closet in Matthews and also in University City. I've never been to the ones here, but in Ohio they always had good clothes.

There used to be several on and around East Blvd. I don't get over there very often any more
so I am not sure what stores are still open but there were some real gems at one time.

I don't know if this is true of all Plato's stores, but I took a bunch of really nice clothes in to the one in Matthews - and they wouldn't buy them because they only stock Juniors sizes. Which also means a limit to the items that I was interested in, since I was looking for work attire.

There are plenty of Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. Or are they not "hip" enough?

Also, there is HONG KONG VINTAGE & RECYCLED || More (http://www.hongkongvintage.com/index.html - broken link), Revolve Upscale Men's Consignment.

There is Great Things in the Arboretum, and there are a few in Dilworth, right on East Blvd. One is split into two sides, one fancy and the other fancier. It may be called Sweet Repeats. I have also had good luck at the Junior League Wearhouse, in Plaza Midwood. All (especially Sweet Repeats) higher-end than Goodwill, etc., depending on what you're looking for.

Ditto. They have nice stuff, but, only limited to trendy-style clothes mostly.

Sleepy Poet has some dealers with clothing. I find Goodwill always has some nice finds. Im also looking for stores to shop in with my girlfriend. We love finding vintage items or 90's fashion items.

Assistance League on Tryon has pretty cool items, though they are small. Its organized and the ladies volunteering there are always friendly.

I was going to say what Chrome said. There are two (I think) right beside 300 East Blvd (a great restaurant, btw). Also, doesn't the Junior League have a store on Elizabeth? That might be a good place to shop.
