Can someome direct me to mecklenburg county guns laws, for hunting/ discharging firearms in Mecklenburg County. This would be for unicorporated areas outside Charlotte, Huntersville, etc. city limits.

I'm looking for the Mecklenburg County statue or law that governs firearms in the county general. I've been told you can hunt, or shoot certain weapon types, but not others. If you can direct me towards what would govern them I'd appreciate it.

I would guess I'll have to contact the county offices. The states laws probably aren't what's applicable for Mecklenburg County.

Those aren't "county" laws, they are State laws......

Thanks. I guess I had wrongly assumed counties tried to impose some of there own laws county wide, the same way the cities do. I'll look up the states laws.

If you go to either the grnc.org site or the attorney general site you can find the laws....

I dont think now is the best time to try and get a straight answer from anyone about gun laws here. We are in a police state until after the DNC...
