Rather than being upset by this decision, what could be done to take advantage of it? Possibly have NAACP members work with the schools to maybe have a history lesson to relay what MLK meant to the country?

I never realized the only way one can truly appreciate MLK is to have a day off school. The things you learn....

NAACP has lost sight of what MLK stood up for. If he were alive, he'd rebuke them all. He probably wouldn't WANT them to stand up for him and his birthday. Lol. The NAACP is and only is a political tool used by liberal media to throw their weight around. Nothing more. They do not "advance" anything but their own agenda. Sad sad sad.
