We are looking at moving in March from the north side of Charlotte to outside of Clover, SC. We can get all our small items moved without a problem, but I'm dreading the idea of moving large items. I just don't have the desire. Can anyone recommend a local moving company that is affordable and reliable?
I used Two Men and a Truck for those large items and it was pretty decent for a move from Queens Road to Plaza Midwood.
Even more recently, I rented a truck and hired two workers from outside the Habitat for Humanity parking lot off of Wendover and they worked hard, were more than reasonable and got it done for less than $250 in labor. Truck rental was $19.95 plus mileage - very very reasonable.
"All My Sons" recently moved us from the Charlotte area to the Charleston, SC area. They did everything including packing our many fragile collectibles and we couldn't be happier with the move.
Check out "easy movers" as they are rated well in Angies list.
My 2 cents regarding moving - make sure you cross your t's and dot your i's. Every thing needs to be written clearly including what is being done/not done. Estimates are estimates - not the real numbers; I have seen the numbers increase at least by 25 to 50% when the real move happens.
Thanks for all the replies, will definitely start making some calls! Feng - great input.
