My family is considering purchasing a home in Laurel Park in Concord, anyone have any thoughts on the neighborhood, builders or area?

Is that the neighborhood off of Roberta Road? If so I have heard good things. The only thing would be race weekends. Traffic will be terrible over that way. Though there's only two weeks a year to worry about that.

Concord is a nice area and has much to offer.

One thing to consider with Laurel Park is that Crossroads Church has a large, active congregation. I believe the church facility and Laurel Park share the same entry from Geo. Liles. You may wish to drive by and assess the traffic on a Sunday when services are letting out so that you won't have surprises. Don't know if there is an alternative entrance to the subdivision you are considering. You could have much worse neighbors than a church, so a little heavy traffic a few hours a week probably isn't a big deal, but wanted to mention it.

There is an alternate entrance on Poplar Tent-Old Speedway.

I really like the neighborhood and really like both builders...

Hi, I was wondering if you bought in Laurel Park and how do you like it. We are thinking about buy a new home in the communicty but we are worried about the schools. None of them seems to have a good grade. Does anyone knows more about the school district and if there is any school change planned?

Thanks!

We decided on Laurel Park after visiting the various schools and the neighborhood. They are definitely the best builder I've ever worked with and constantly exceed my expectations.

Hi jazz007,

Did you buy a Ryan or Niblock home? What do you think about the schools? Does any of your kids attend weddington? The middle and high school seems to have an ok grade on greatschools but we are worried about the weddington as elementary. Please, let me know.

Thanks!!
