Hi all...I just moved back to CLT from up north...I'm single and alone...I only know my folks in town. Give me some ideas of places to go and mingle with people...I've hit all 4 museums in Charlotte already and I'm not a big drinker...I live in South Charlotte if that matters...

Meetup.com is great. You can join groups like Charlotte Young Adults (http://www.meetup.com/carolinacl/ - broken link), The Go Social Club and Active Charlotteans - No Bar Meets

I agree, Meetup.com is a great way to meet people. Although I would recommend joining smaller groups (30-100 people) rather than large groups (1000+). That's just my preference because it's easier to build friendships since you are more likely to see the same people more than once. Good luck!

I signed up at meetup after reading this thread and joined a few groups. This seems like a great suggestion.
