Default Who loves a good deal!?! Dillards Clearance @ Eastland

I was in town for a couple of days and had a chance to go to Dillards Clearance store at Eastland Mall. For those who have not been there you have got to check it out. I bought $305 worth of clothes and paid $14.33. How crazy is that. This week there are lots of items that are 75-80% off the already 75% markdown price. They do not advertise you can call and they will tell you what the specials are. Its worth the trip to Eastland.

On a side note its sad to see what has come of Eastland. It is a dying mall. Many stores are closed and the place is usually empty when I go. I noticed Sears had closed their housewares department. I wonder if Sears is about to close also. We used to drive 80 miles back in the 70's to go to Eastland to shop, it was the deal back then. Now, many people for good reason will not step foot in the place. I would recommed you not go Friday night or Saturday afternoon or night, its kind of scary during those times. But daytime and weekdays are best.

Can I get a police escort while shopping that does sound very tempting lol

I thought that most stores in this area would have already have good end of summer deals but most I have seen is just 25 percent off.

I would assume they would be trying to push this stuff out for school items.
I am looking for a good deal on denim since I know summer best time to get a good price on a pair.

There is a shoe store off Freedom Drive (another place to go only in daytime) lol
Most of the shoes are only 25 bucks.

This thread makes me think of the school crowding threads of a use for
Eastland mall and that is coverting it into a school.

My gf works at the Northlake Dillard's and Eastland is where they send all the returns. I wasn't going to mention the crime ther,e but since it's been brought it up, I wouldn't go there if they were giving stuff away for free.

We could turn a lot of "corridor of crap" buildings into schools.

The Dillards @ Eastland is a designated clearance center. It has none of the accutruments of your typical Dillards store. Its bare bones, just rack after rack of clothing. During seasonal clearance you might find some good markdowns at a regular mall store. I bought a pair of Turnberry shorts, retail $50 for $2.60. 2 Daniel Cremieux shirts, retail $50, for $1.99. doubt you will find such a deal at South Park.

These deals DO NOT exist at the other malls because the Dillards at Eastland is going out of business.

I tried to go to Southpark last night but no real deals.

Thank you for the tip! We went over to the Eastland Mall today and I got a gorgeous wool coat for winter and some other clothing. But the biggest deals I got were in the shoe section! I smatched up 6 pair of shoes that were normally $80 plus and got them all for $20 or less! $30 and more earrings for $5.

I am heading back to work in 3 weeks and needed some clothing, shoes and accessories!

The Foot Locker also had a $40 backpack for my son for $9.99.

Thanks for posting this.

Dawn (who never felt one bit uncomfortable at the Eastland Mall!)

Thanks for posting these deals. I may get up the nerve to go.

Eastland was the shizz when I was in high school and the first few years I was in college. Basically from 1992-1996 I felt safe going there. I even went ice skating. After 1996-97 it started to go downhill because of the trashy, disgusting delinquents that made it dangerous for the rest of us.

So sad, really.

Not a place to go to alone and definitely make sure you have no valuables or even pocket change in view in your vehicle.

Hell yeah, I will be visiting there this next payday.

It's really not a violent area at all, not as bad as people make it out to be. THOSE DEALS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!

Eastland is mostly a Black area, and lower/working class.
The people there, most of them are very courteous and nice. My family is White, and me and my Mom have been there many times during the day and even night.
Thanks alot, its sad Eastland is closing down, The Ice Rink is awesome, and it's especially great if you like Hip Hop style cloths.
