Default Demere

We have friends that live in that neihgborhood and love it. So many people are from NY and are retired cops. They really feel like it and say it is an extended family down there. The houses are huge and beautiful! If we could have moved there we would have! The houses are close together for such a big home though that was the only downside I saw and some streets did not have sidewalks. Also, I didn't like that every house looked the same inside with colors, cabinets and lights but I think the prices are very fair.
The couple I know is young-28 with no kids yet but the others in the neighborhood are probably in their 40's. They all have cocktail parties every Friday night in their garages and play games and drink lots!

Yea! Thanks for that info - about the cocktail parties in the garage. We just bought in that neighborhood and will be there in about 2 weeks. I guess the garage opens at 5:00!

Default Demere

Hi,
Does anyone have any feedback on Demere? We are looking at Cureton,Lawson, the Reserve and Demere. Demere seems so much less in price and you get so much. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Hi Emy,

We have purchased a house in Demere. It will not be ready until July. It is a much smaller community than the others that you have mentioned.. It has a nice size pool and cabana, but no other amenities. Lennar is the builder. I have found them to be very accommodating so far. There are other people on this board that are already living in Demere. Hopefully, they will give you some feedback. From my many visits to Demere I can tell you there are lots of kids of all ages. Everyone seems to be a transplant, mostly from the northeast by looking at their license plates! My husband has beem living in Charlotte since July . We have looked at so many houses and communities. We decided on Demere b/c it was a good value and it was in the Weddington schools cluster. Many of the new home communities that are going up around Demere are a higher price point. Good luck to you!
