Might be fun to print out what Zillow things about your property before the new numbers get loaded in. It thinks mine is with $130K and the county now thinks it's worth $83K

Zillow is terrible.

We had an appraisal done Monday. Tax value (Cabarrus Co.) is $129,700. Appraisal came in at $119,000.

Zestimate: $106,000.

HomeGain: $98,272

eppraisal.com: $87,751

Are you selling? Will be interesting to see what the sale price is. That is what the property is REALLY worth. If you're selling, I wish you the best!!!

If you're in Mecklenburg Zillow uses tax data for most of that so you should double-check Real Estate Lookup. My bedrooms are wrong too but I might lie and tell them there's 27 so my value goes back up.

Real Estate Lookup

The picture Zillow has of my house wrong. Apparently I should be living about 8 houses down from where I am now.

Zillow is completely wrong on our house too.....square footage is wrong, number of fireplaces is wrong, number of bedrooms and bathrooms are off, and on and on.

It also has our house listed at $100K less than our current tax appraisal says we should be paying!

ARGH!

Dawn

No but I don't want to loose all my equity either. If people can't sell their houses and they walk away then things get worse and worse. I don't want to sell anytime soon but I want the option.

PS: I don't want to pay taxes at all.
