Carowinds can get crowded but nothing in the way of the Disney parks. Sunday morning is the best time to go. You will be able to walk on most rides until noon or so.

Sorry, no observation decks in this city. There use to be a 31st floor restaurant back in the day at the old First Union tower (Charlotte's 1st 30 story bldg) but I think that has closed.

carowindsconnection.com may be a good way to get more detailed Carowinds info as you plan your trip. If you like coasters, Intimidator is really fun! I was there opening day last year in 40º weather to ride that darn thing. Loved every minute!

Thank, I'm really looking forward to riding Intimidator since its now the tallest, longest, and fastest in the Southeast, a title Kraken at Sea World used to hold until 2010.
