Heck, if the street was just swept recently, and didn't need it again, then someone in the control room is not doing their job efficiently. And yes, I would consider that wasteful spending. Something we cannot afford here in Charlotte.

Contact Stuart Watson (WCNC). He loves investigating wasteful spending issues for the city/state. He's brilliant!!

I'd bet it didn't show up on its own. Could be some resident complaining they had to wash their car in the cold because the salt wasn't swept up.

Since it's on my dime, damn right I'm complaining about it. The streets in my neighborhood were plenty clean.

Yes, I know there's a lot of other sources of wasted taxpayer money, but this one drove by my house. Twice.
