Nucor is a great company to work for. They don't just make steel, they are also a huge recycler of scrap. They have found more energy efficient ways to produce steel while lowering their impact on the environment. Have you looked on their website? There is more information about them there. What position are you interviewing for? If it is in Charlotte, I am assuming its corporate. From what all I know of Nucor, they are a great company to work for and they value their employees.

Nucor is considered one of the more progressive steel manufacturers and are probably the low cost producer in the US. Great company to work for., The steel industry has been 'stuck in the mud' since the reccession due mainly due to stagnant construction sector (auto continues to gain steam) and business is gradually been getting better over the last year. I'm a big supplier to the steel coaters (galvanize) and our business in this sector has really picked up the last few months and is forecast to get better as the year progresses. They have a nice facility near Charleston, SC.
