Default Question re: Dilworth, South Park, Myers Park

Hi - I travel to Charlotte monthly for business. I love the area and am looking to buy a townhome/condo/bungalow that I would rent out for next two years then relocate to CLT. I like the feel or these areas and want to be able to walk to restaurants, parks, etc. Do you recommend these areas? Others? How is rental market in CLT? I am in late-40's - very active - run/tennis/work-out etc - would like area w/like-minded professionals! Thanks.

You can't go wrong with any of those areas. I would say Dilworth sounds a little more like what you are looking for though. I am assuming you are already aware of the price range in those areas. Also make sure the agent you are working with are VERY comfortable with advising on investment properties. If you need a recommendation I know an agent who is very experienced.

Thanks - that's where I seem to be leaning. Any idea how the rental market is?

Dilworth would be your best bet for the walking to restaurants, parks, etc. and sounds like a great fit for your demographic. Don't know anything about the rental market. Best of Luck in finding exactly what you need!

I know a few people with rental properties in those areas and they are having a very hard time finding renters. I would make sure you do lots of homework to make sure its a viable option and could find renters. Dilworth or Southpark are probably better options since the younger renters would prefer those areas to Myers Park.
